What I did on my "Spring Break", Part 2
So Randy and I woke up early on Wednesday to go pick up our car. Then we went to breakfast at a place that I have been meaning to go to since I moved here, 8 months ago:
I hadn't made it there sooner because I've heard it's a tiny place and if you don't get there early enough, you'll end up having to wait for a table. I am rarely up early enough to go get breakfast, let alone somewhere where I have to get up to beat a line. Since we had to go pick up the car at 8am, and the restaurant was right around the corner, we beat the line. Yahoo! And damn...it was good. I may even wait in line next time.
We went back to my place and took a little nap after breakfast. I know, it's so bad to have a huge meal then fall asleep...but I say "Screw it! We were on vacation!" Then we were off to:
We had a car in our possession, where else could we go?! I bought a ton of stuff. Mostly things to make my little apartment seem a little more home-y. It's coming along nicely, i tell ya. (I should tell you guys now, this little vacation involved a lot of eating.) While at IKEA, we got hungry. Lusting over home furnishings builds up quite an appetite. We stopped and got some Swedish meatballs. While in the cafe. We spotted this guy. For all you Gilmore Girls fans out there, just try and tell me he doesn't look like Michelle. I think he spotted me trying to take his picture though, so I then had to take pictures of Randy. I hoped that the Michelle look-alike would then just think I was a tourist or something. Like I was all "Ooh! Look at these crazy Americans with their restaurant in the middle of their store!" Hee hee.
We shopped some more. We checked out. I was surprised at the total of my bill. We ate 50 cent hot dogs to make ourselves feel better about how much we just spent. Here is Randy waiting in line to buy our hot dogs:
We drove back over the Bay Bridge to drop off our goods at my place before heading to the next destination. I still love this view. I can't tell you how many times I saw this skyline and got excited before I moved up here. I know it's not the greatest picture, but here you go:
Oh, and how could I forget this? The toll bridge guy asked if Randy and I were married. When I shook my head "no", he told Randy to marry me because I was beautiful and I would make him very happy. Ha ha! Well, i think that's what he said. Something like that. Funny guy.
So we took our stuff back to my place and headed off to our next destination. To be continued...

Awwwww! What a sweet toll guy.
Randy, that guy was right, ya know...! :)
Share what you bought at IKEA, woman. I must experience the joys of large chain stores vicariously through you.

That does look like him. Crazy! What a sweet thing for a stranger to say. It's always nice when someone else can bother the bf about marriage lol

I will wait in line with you at Dottie's one day, ya?
Uh, a toll bridge guy actually talked to you? And on top of that, he said something nice? What's the world coming to?!
How many more parts are there to this "Spring Break"? Oh, the suspense!

I should have told the guy to just do his job and mind his own damn business.

That guy totally looks like Michelle! I am planning a trip to IKEA soon and hopefully I'll run into a celebrity look-alike.

I am so happy that you finally got to go to the wonderful Dottie's!!! I'm happy to know others are willing to wait in line for breaky. My girlfriends and I go there every single time we are in the city (which is often since we live pretty close). If you want REALLY good indian food go next door to Shalimar sometime. It is where the owners of okay indian food restaurants go to eat great indian food.
